Galaxy Note II Error 67 (Sprint)
While this error might happen to users under other networks, Sprint customers are the ones that are often hit by this. The good thing is Sprint is already aware that a problem like this exists.
What happens is that owners of this device will be asked of their data username and password. Basically, they need to update their data profile, although this is not a big issue at all. How to keep my Wi-Fi On?
Problem: Hi, I currently own a Samsung Galaxy Note II. I subscribed to an unlimited mobile data plan because I am a very busy person, always on call (people contact me all the time via email) and I am an extensive downloader. Unfortunately, when I leave my device unused for several minutes, it sleeps and the Wi-Fi disconnects simultaneously. So, I cannot hear notifications if I receive emails and my download disconnects, I have to start from the start. Can you help me find a way to keep my Wi-Fi on?
Solution: Actually, this is an Android-wide problem. Some devices are blessed to have an extra option that keeps Wi-Fi even if they are left to idle and Galaxy Note II is one of them. The device comes packed with the “never sleep” mode that would keep the Wi-Fi connection stable even if the device is idle. Here’s how you do it:
- Pull down the notification bar.
- Tap the settings icon (the gear icon located in the top right-most corner).
- Tap Wi-Fi.
- Look for Menu option on the page.
- Tap on Advanced to pop the advanced settings page.
- Press on Keep WiFi on during sleep and choose Always.
Galaxy Note 2 WiFi disconnects after few seconds
Problem: Whenever I connect my Galaxy Note II to a WiFi it connects just for few seconds and disconnects. I already tried the “Always On” option but it didn’t make a difference. I am thinking maybe the culprit is AT&T’s wireless network finding software. Please help. Thanks.
Solution: Many owners of Galaxy Note 2 under AT&T network have been complaining carrier-specific apps are causing much trouble instead of being useful. Well, it is understandable that the network is trying to make a “smart phone” even smarter to the point that some of its apps “intervene” (at least, that’s what some owners say) with the normal processes of the device. Now, I got one thing I want you to try–disabling AT&T Smart WiFi.
- Pull down your Notification Bar.
- Tap on Settings icon located on the right-most corner.
- Find Applications Manager and tap on “All” tab.
- Locate ATT WiFi and tap on it to open.
- Tap on Disable button.
See if this works for you. Basically, you are turning of AT&T’s WiFi app so the device uses it’s built-in WiFi service.
Galaxy Note II Error 501
Problem: I first got this TW Launcher Error and since then, my Note 2 keeps rebooting all by itself disallowing me to do anything in it because just when everything starts showing on its Home screen, it will reboot once again. This has been going on for a week now. I don’t want to send my device to a tech because its internal memory is full of very important data and photos. I am hoping you can help me find a way to resolve this or, at least, backup my data. I don’t want to do the Factory Reset before I can exhaust all possible fixes.
Solution: In fairness to Samsung, the TouchWiz launcher is very neat. However, it often causes a lot of problems to the devices running it. Others experience lagging, freezing and occasional reboot because of it. Your case is really unfortunate; I hope the procedures I’m going to show you would be enough to fix this problem–clearing cache partition.
- Turn your Samsung Galaxy Note 2 OFF.
- Press and hold the VOLUME UP and HOME buttons while pressing the POWER button. This will put your device into factory reboot menu but don’t worry, you will be lose any of your data.
- Navigate through the options using Volume buttons and choose “wipe cache partition” and press Menu button to confirm.
- Once the cache partition is emptied, you need to choose “Reboot System Now.”
Note: This reboot may take longer than usual so be patient and wait until the device is active.
Galaxy Note II TouchWiz Launcher Error
Problem: A TW Launcher error just showed up and since then, my Galaxy Note II became really slow; it takes forever for the apps to load. I know there’s a problem, I just can’t figure it out. Can you help me fix this, please?
Solution: The TouchWiz Launcher, custom user interface built by Samsung itself, is the one causing this issue. There are two most common workarounds to solve this issue. I hope one of them can help you.
- Pull your Notification Bar down.
- Tap on Settings (gear icon) located on the top right-most corner.
- Go to Applications Manager and tap on “All” tab.
- Look for TW Launcher and tap on it.
- Tap on Clear Data button, go back to your Home screen and launch any app. See if your device is still slow.
The other option I’m talking about is after you cleared data and your device is still slow, tap on Disable button to kill this app. Then use third-party launchers. Let me know if these work for you.
Galaxy Note II Error 403
Problem: I downloaded a certain app from the Google Play Store then suddenly I got this error code 403. What is this error, by the way? After that, the Play Store apps seem to load real slow. I don’t know what to do, I never experienced this error before.
Solution: I have talked to a friend from XDA Dev forums regarding this issue. He said that it is more of a connection error and not app-initiated problem. So, basically, the app you were trying to download was the culprit. As a recommendation, he said that removing the proxy from your Internet Settings may help resolve this.
- Pull down Notification Bar and tap on Settings icon.
- Find More Settings option.
- Tap on Mobile Networks, then Access Point Names.
- Remove your proxy and Save settings.
Galaxy Note II Runs Very Slow
Problem: I just got my Galaxy Note II and I am a first-time Android user. I love the device, it is huge with good display, but it is running very, very slow. It would take more than 10 seconds just to load a music app and sometimes I cannot open the message app. It keeps on lagging and freezing and I don’t know how to fix this.
Solution: There are a few things I can recommend that could help make your device run faster. First, let’s try to stop some apps running in the background:
- Go to Settings.
- Applications Manager, then tap on “Running” tab to see a list of apps running in the background.
- Tap on apps one-by-by and each time you do, tap “Force Close” button.
- Then go back to Home screen and launch some apps to see if your Note 2 is now running fast.
If the procedure above won’t work, then try this:
- Settings.
- Applications Manager.
- Look for TW Launcher and tap on it.
- Now tap on Clear Data button and see if it helps. If not, go back to this same page and tap “Force Close.” If your Note 2 runs faster after this, Disable the app for good and use third-party launchers.
If after these two procedures your device still performs poorly, try wiping cache partition:
- Turn your Samsung Galaxy Note 2 OFF.
- Press and hold the VOLUME UP and HOME buttons while pressing the POWER button. This will put your device into factory reboot menu but don’t worry, you will be lose any of your data.
- Navigate through the options using Volume buttons and choose “wipe cache partition” and press Menu button to confirm.
